Frozen Peach-Cubes

This Independence Day, we made some delicious peach-cubes for our lemonade. They were oh-so-yummy! Here's how to make your own...

What You'll Need:
-Potato Peeler
-3 to 4 Peaches
-Blender
-Ice Cube Trays
-Freezer
-4 to 6 hours of freezing time =)

1. Find some ripe, juicy peaches & peel them with a potato peeler.
2. Put the peeled peaches into the blender, and blend until a sort-of puree is formed. Mmm.
3. Pour the peach mush into the ice cube trays, with an even amount in each cube.

4. Place trays level in the freezer and allow to harden for several hours.
5. Once they are frozen, pop them out and enjoy! I like them best in already-chilled lemonade. [That way they stay solid longer and don't break apart in your drink as quickly]

Yum! Enjoy!

Kaitlan's Bridal Shower

This past weekend, I hosted a Bridal Shower for one of my dearest friends, Kaitlan, at my house. My sister, Sam, and I made all the decorations, and if I do say so myself, they came out just splendid... The theme was 'Love Stories' and we made the centerpieces out of covered books, titled with some of Kaitlan's favorites, hung pages of books from the ceiling, and played with her colors from the wedding, Black and White, with a hint of turquoise [ok, more like a huge splash]. We also had crazy fun with a photo booth set up for pictures with mustache and lips props. Oh, the frivolity ;)

Bedroom Spruce-Up

Hello Hello...
Like I posted in the last entry, I've been organizing my sister's room re-do of sorts and its finally finished and beautiful! We repainted the walls, bought new bedding & art for the walls, freshened up the window treatments and lighting, and added some adorable DIY book-bookshelves. So darn cute. Here's the link of how to do them if you're interested.  Here are the photos of the Before and After of the project. xo
Before - Lime-Green walls and out of date art and lighting

During
After...

The 'Chaise' art is custom made by Sam. <3 Adorable.

The red cases are antiques found in Santa Barbara.

Custom made fixture. Very fitting.

Book-Book Shelves! Love!

I certainly like the way it turned out =)
And that's me reading in the photo by the books..! ;) That was all Sam's doing.
Hope you like!

New Projects

Hi there! Some exciting stuff is going on around here at my house... I am attempting to re-vamp our backyard and my little sister, Samantha's, bedroom [with my dad's and Sam's help of course] to get some stuff to put in my ever growing portfolio. I thought I'd post some before pictures and share a little about the plans...

For the backyard, we are planning to make a border of stone and different plants all around the grassy area, as well as add a focal point at the back wall with some nice green trees and a bench with maybe a fountain...

So that's the yard... As for Sam's room, before pictures are to come, but she wants to paint the walls a light brown color, and change out her bedding, window treatment, and incorporate some new art work and accessories in the space. It should be fun, and not too challenging. Wish us luck, and check back for updates =)
